RE: AGIF California State Conference

I received this from a friend who can help us.  I'll follow  up.
The conference is looking good.  However, we need people to register
quickly.  Post Commander Francisco Alvarez has 15 members coming from  Modesto.

I called Ida, Eli, and Ruben yesterday.  Francisco is going to  call Jake,
Fred, and Danny Morales today.  Let's start a phone bank calling  system to
encourage everyone to attend.  We're ready.  We have  Congress members,
Assembly members, Senators and big sponsors who will be in  attendance.  We need
to make a good showing for our organization and the  sponsors who have
stepped up to the plate to support our veterans.

In addition, we are recognizing a young Latina who has received the Bronze
Star Valor medal.  She is going to receive a California Assembly Resolution
from the Chair of Assembly Veterans Committee, the Honorable Mary Salas of
San Diego.  This is huge.  We are also working to get the Governor  there.
Brenda from the governor's office has submitted our request and is
working it.

We also have some African American veterans joining us at the Luncheon and
reception events.  Pete Conaty is also bringing his team to join us.

Soooooooooo, it is very important for our members to show up.  Please
forward this email to our members if you wish.
